Essha Vana is a farmhouse layout development located on the outskirts of Bangalore, conceived as a contemporary interpretation of vernacular rural architecture. The master plan organizes multiple residential plots along a central spine, structured to create visual continuity and spatial hierarchy within a predominantly natural landscape.

The clubhouse forms the architectural nucleus of the development. Enclosed within a defined compound edge, it is designed as an inward-looking yet porous community space where indoor and outdoor programs seamlessly intersect. Recreational functions — including swimming pool, yoga deck, basketball court, leisure courts, and cafe-style gathering spaces are spatially layered to encourage interaction and fluid movement.

The architectural language is rooted in regional materiality — incorporating Mangalore tile sloping roofs, exposed laterite stone masonry, bamboo elements, and laterite stone paving — reimagined through clean lines and modern proportions. The intent is to retain the tactile, earthy character of traditional construction while expressing it in a refined contemporary framework.

The built form maintains a sloping roof profile and material palette consistent with the larger development, reinforcing design cohesion. Through spatial sequencing, material authenticity, and climatic responsiveness, the clubhouse becomes a destination within the layout — a communal anchor grounded in vernacular identity yet articulated in a contemporary architectural language.
